La incorporación de la perspectiva de género en el análisis de las condiciones bajo las cuales despliegan su actividad académica y laboral los diferentes agentes que conforman las Instituciones de Educación Superior en México (alumnado, personal académico y administrativo) permite identificar situaciones en las cuales las personas experimentan condiciones de discriminación de género. Este reconocimiento posibilita la institucionalización de políticas que integren diversas acciones afirmativas tendientes a construir condiciones de equidad de género, cumpliendo así con diferentes convenios nacionales e internacionales que nuestro país ha suscrito. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo hacer un análisis desde la perspectiva de género de las condiciones laborales en una de las Carreras de Psicología que se imparte en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), a fin de visibilizarlas y proponer acciones afirmativas que generen, dentro del espacio universitario, condiciones de equidad de género en las cuales exista una justa valoración al trabajo desarrollado tanto por varones como por mujeres y que se contribuya de esta manera a fomentar una cultura de equidad de género. Para llevar a cabo este estudio se contó con los datos de la planta académica de dicha carrera con contrato vigente a septiembre de 2011. Los resultados obtenidos, contrario a la literatura revisada, presentan que los varones, en comparación con las mujeres, han tenido menor desarrollo académico, cuentan con menos estímulos, con menos ingresos al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores y con categorías contractuales más bajas, se concluye que quizá estos resultados concuerden con el que la carrera estudiada sea del área de las ciencias sociales, en donde las mujeres en los últimos años han alcanzado una mayor presencia y se proponen nuevas investigaciones para conocer los factores que han estorbado a los varones seguir su desarrollo, tanto académico como laboral, a fin de promover acciones que permitan su incorporación a distintos programas de desarrollo, al igual que sus compañeras docentes. La presente investigación indaga en la temática de la integración de inmigrantes latinoamericanos en el sistema educacional chileno. La escasa producción teórica y la carencia de estrategias específicas para la inclusión, han orientado la investigación a explorar las representaciones sociales de docentes, directivos y alumnos chilenos acerca de la integración de alumnos extranjeros. La muestra se constituyó de dos establecimientos municipales de la comuna de Santiago, con una presencia significativa de alumnos extranjeros en sus aulas. Los resultados señalan que las RS’s de la integración de extranjeros, refieren al proceso de otorgar acceso a la educación desde una perspectiva asimilacionista con escasos elementos de interculturalidad. De manera que se reconocen obstaculizadores y facilitadores de una educación inclusiva en dicho contexto intercultural, entregándose un acercamiento teórico preliminar del fenómeno inmigratorio y su posicionamiento en el sistema educativo chileno.
