En la literatura se han encontrado funciones principales a realizar en un Entorno Personal de Aprendizaje (PLE): agregar, relacionar, crear, compartir y organizarse. En el presente trabajo se describen los principios instruccionales y la implementación de un taller en línea sobre PLE dirigido a estudiantes universitarios. Se encontró que los principios de diseño instruccional utilizados probaron ser eficaces en el diseño del taller. Además los participantes lograron construir su PLE, modificándolo de manera continua y autónoma, así mismo, los PLE de los participantes cumplieron con las funciones generales, haciendo énfasis en agregar y compartir información sobre sus proyectos académicos. Anualmente en el mundo, más de cien millones de personas adquieren una Infección de Transmisión Sexual (ITS), siendo los jóvenes una de las principales poblaciones vulnerable ante este tipo de riesgo (OMS, 2016). Muchas de estas infecciones son asintomáticas y generan consecuencias para la salud del individuo, por ejemplo, abortos espontáneos, partos prematuros, infecciones congénitas y perinatales en los recién nacidos, lesiones o deformaciones en los genitales, trastornos psicológicos, entre otros (OMS, 2019). Además, las ITS facilitan la transmisión del Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana, triplicando el riesgo de infectarse por este virus (Reyes, 2016) el cual es mortal y no tiene cura. Durante los últimos tres años en la FES Iztacala el proyecto de Investigación Psico-educativa, desde su línea de investigación Recursos Computarizados en educación, ha venido desarrollando una metodología para la estructuración y trabajo en comunidades virtuales de aprendizaje. Como elemento fundamental de análisis se ha definido la noción de tutor en línea, los procesos de tutelaje que se ven implicados en los espacios virtuales y las diferentes tecnologías o herramientas que median el proceso de interacción. Con las diferentes investigaciones desarrolladas se ha generado una metodología específica para el desarrollo de programas de tutelaje en línea, dicha metodología identificada ya con una herramienta específica se conoce como el Programa de Tutelaje en Línea. Bajo esta metodología se han desarrollado investigación del tutelaje profesor-alumnos, uso de conferencias por computadora con fines académicos, el proceso de particiación de alumnos de alto desempeño y tecnologías que ha ido desde páginas HTML, hasta scripts complejos en PERL y manejo de bases de datos. En este reporte presentamos la fase siguiente en el proceso de investigación para el PTL, incluyendo en ésta, los caminos de desarrollo tecnológico que se han tenido que abordar, como el uso de software libre para la adecuación de portales con fines educativos y específicamente de tutelaje. Y considerando sobre todo el nivel de tutoría que se ha de impulsar como lo es la tutoría entre alumnos. Los sistemas computacionales que nos permiten generar las comunidades de aprendizaje, ofrecen un sin fin de posibilidades para rescatar un principio psico-pedagógico en los espacios educativos: la enseñanza mutua. Las universidades preocupadas por formar cuadros egresados de interesados en el desarrollo científico, humanistas, tecnológico, social y cultural del país, buscan formulas que les permitan llegar a estos objetivos. Tal es el caso de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México que a través de su Programa PAEA pone a disposición de jóvenes universitarios de alto desempeño académico una serie de cursos, seminarios, platicas y talleres, así como programas de tutelaje presencial. Sin embargo las limitaciones de tiempo de tutores y alumnos imposibilita él optimo aprovechamiento de este último programa. Como respuesta a este problema se crea el programa de tutelaje en línea, en la UNAM Campus Iztacala.
