Title A name given to the resource Algunas dimensiones de la experimentación sexual: una comparación por sexos Abstract A summary of the resource. El propósito de esta investigación fue evaluar las diferencias entre hombres y mujeres en cuanto a algunas dimensiones de la experimentación sexual. Participaron 306 estudiantes de una universidad privada de la Ciudad de México. La muestra estuvo constituida por 135 hombres y 161 mujeres, cuyas edades oscilaron entre 18 y 28 años. Se aplicó el instrumento SESU, el cual evalúa las siguientes conductas sexuales: masturbación, uso de pornografía, sexo casual, orgasmo, comunicación sexual y relaciones sexuales. Los hallazgos mostraron diferencias significativas entre hombres y mujeres. En general se encontró que las diferentes conductas sexuales evaluadas ocurrieron con mayor frecuencia entre los hombres. Los resultados se discuten en términos de sus similitudes con la literatura del área y las limitaciones del constructo. Desde el 2000, la diabetes es la principal causa de muerte en México, ocasionando el 17.2% de las muertes. Cada hora se diagnostican 38 nuevos casos de diabetes y cada dos horas mueren 5 personas a causa de complicaciones originadas por esta. La diabetes tiene una repercusión directa en la calidad de vida de los pacientes ya que es una enfermedad incapacitante por los daños micro y macro vasculares provocados a diferentes niveles del organismo y está asociada a otros problemas de salud en México como son la obesidad, la hipertensión y las enfermedades vasculares. El objetivo de este artículo es dar a conocer una revisión de las diferentes intervenciones conductuales y psicosociales enfocadas al control y regulación de la Diabetes Mellitus, analizando diversos marcos teóricos principalmente dentro de la Teoría Cognitiva y Conductual revisando sus aportaciones y limitaciones. Proponiéndose como alternativa el modelo psicológico de la Salud de Ribes para mejorar la adherencia a la dieta en pacientes diabéticos tipo II.
