El objetivo del presente estudio fue hacer una comparación de la representación del padre que tienen adolescentes tardíos en dos diversos contextos, analizando el contenido y la modalidad narrativa de una muestra de adolescentes italianos y mexicanos, mediante un instrumento narrativo denominado “Carta a mi padre” que permitiera identificar las funciones normativas parentales. Participaron 392 estudiantes universitarios (190 italianos y 202 mexicanos,  =19.6 años; DS=0.98); el análisis se realizó mediante el software ALCESTE (Reinert, 1993, 1995). Los resultados indican que del corpus italiano resultaron 5 clases de universos lexicales (estabilidad 60.15%) y del corpus mexicano 4 tipos (estabilidad 67.06%). Existen semejanzas: expresión de gratitud y reconocimiento; conciencia de diálogo escaso y diferencias de tipo cultural, respecto al abandono real de la familia. Title A name given to the resource Respuesta cardiaca al estrés cognitivo en cuidadores informales de personas con trastorno del espectro autista Abstract A summary of the resource. El Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) se caracteriza fundamentalmente por una alteración de los patrones de socialización, comunicación y comportamiento. Su carácter crónico hace necesaria la figura de un cuidador informal que atienda las necesidades del afectado, asumiendo habitualmente este rol un familiar directo. El hecho de prestar cuidados a una persona con TEA supone una fuente de estrés crónico para el cuidador, lo que conlleva serias consecuencias para su salud, que pueden verse amortiguadas en función de diversos factores protectores como el apoyo social. El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en analizar la respuesta cardiaca a un estresor cognitivo de laboratorio en cuidadores de personas con TEA y no cuidadores. Además, se pretende evaluar el efecto del apoyo social en dicha respuesta. Los cuidadores mostraron una menor reactividad cardiaca frente al estrés que los no cuidadores. Altos niveles de apoyo social estructural se relacionaron con una mayor reactividad cardiaca en los cuidadores. Un posible mecanismo de habituación o un desarrollo de estrategias de afrontamiento al estrés más adaptativas en los cuidadores podría explicar esta menor reactividad. Estos resultados ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de llevar a cabo futuros estudios con otras muestras de cuidadores en los que se evalúe el efecto mediador del apoyo social. Las mujeres que desempeñan tareas del hogar, como amas de casa o empleadas domésticas, se enfrentan cotidianamente a sobrecarga de trabajo y a situaciones de riesgo que pueden poner en peligro su bienestar físico y el psicológico. Los objetivos del presente estudio fueron medir depresión y hábitos de salud, en mujeres amas de casa y en mujeres que se desempeñan como empleadas domésticas y amas de casa; y analizar las posibles diferencias entre estas muestras, con base en su lugar de residencia: Puebla o Ciudad de México. Se evaluaron 400 participantes; se usó el Perfil de Estrés de Kenneth Nowack y el Inventario de Depresión de Beck. La tercera parte de la muestra total reportó depresión y predominó el nivel medio de hábitos de salud. Se detectaron algunas diferencias por ítems y por lugar de residencia. Son importantes el apoyo social y una distribución equitativa de responsabilidades domésticas, entre los miembros de la familia.
